 Joining
Friday Night Live can be one of the best decisions of your
life. Friday Night Live chapters are a place where students
can come together in an atmosphere of openness to express
their ideas and share about their lives without fear or rejection.
It is a place of positive acceptance.
To find out if you there is already an active Friday Night
Live, Club Live, Friday Night Live Kids, or Mentoring chapter
at your school click here.
Two ways to get involved with FNL:
- You can contact the FNL Coordinator in your county. They
can give you information on the FNL chapter closest to you.
If there is not an FNL chapter in your area… Click
here to view a listing of currently active chapters in kern.
- You can start your own chapter. Bring together at least
five other friends that are interested in starting an FNL
in your area. Then find an adult willing to be an advisor*
for your chapter (teacher, coach, youth center counselor,
etc.). Then contact the county coordinator in your area
and tell them you are ready to start a chapter at your school
or organization. The county coordinator will provide you,
your friends and the advisor with all the information, handbooks
and activities you need to get started.
Note: *Sometimes adults may not want to commit to being
an advisor until they know the type of commitment they are
getting into. After you have identified an adult, give their
name and contact information to your county coordinator.
The coordinator can then explain everything that is involved
in being an advisor including the benefits and responsibilities.
