This is a presentation featuring the real stories
of local families. It is no charge! Your school simply provides
the venue and the students. -- Please Book this Presentation
at your middle or high school.
The Bakersfield Police Department has created
a wonderful presentation on drinking, driving, and smart driving
decisions. What is unique abut this particular presentation
is that it is completely LOCAL. Unlike a federal or generally
distributed presentation, this is something that your youth
can really relate to. It will feature real situations with
real local families and high schools, NOT ACTORS.
The impact of any kind of prevention presentation
is greater when it is local and able to bring the facts home,
quite literally. It is much more difficult to distance yourself
from an experience when it happens next door.
This presentation is very graphic and covers
all aspects from drinking and driving to everyday smart driving
decisions. A local officer will put on the presentation. It
may be given to a large group in an auditorium, or on a smaller
classroom level. The school needs only to provide a venue,
the students, and a place for the presentation to project.
